TPA Participates in Discussions on FA and Robotics Support for SMEs Advancing Thailand-Japan Cooperation in IoT Human Resource Development and Industrial Transformation

On June 10, 2018, representatives of the Technology Promotion Association (Thailand-Japan) (TPA) participated in discussions in Nagoya, Japan, with Dr. Uttama Savanayana, Minister of Industry of Thailand, Mr. Takeshi Uchiyamada, Chairman of the Japan-Thailand Economic Cooperation Society (JTECS), and representatives from DENSO Corporation.

The discussions focused on expanding the Industrial Transformation Center (ITC) initiative to regional industrial promotion centers across Thailand. Particular emphasis was placed on IoT human resource development, standardization, factory automation (FA), and robotics support for SMEs.

The Minister of Industry also proposed closer collaboration with TPA in areas such as the ITC project, Train-the-Coach programs, and technical assistance for CLMV countries (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam).

The meeting represented an important step toward promoting industrial transformation, smart manufacturing, and stronger Thailand-Japan industrial cooperation.
