Startup Conference Promoting Co-Creation Between Thai and Japanese Companies

On April 23, 2026, the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO Bangkok), the Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation, Japan (SMRJ), and the Technology Promotion Association (Thailand-Japan) (TPA) jointly organized the event, "How Japanese Companies in Thailand Drive Innovation - Startup Conference" at TPA29.

This event was organized to share the realities of business development and collaboration among Japanese companies operating in Thailand, with the aim of promoting partnerships and cooperation between companies. Representatives from four companies-Aeterlink and Zeroboard, both tenants of TPA29, as well as CADDi and Hutzper-took the stage to share their experiences regarding market entry into Thailand, challenges and innovations in business expansion, and their future outlooks. Against the backdrop of Thailand's growing technological capabilities and increasing awareness of sustainability, the speakers emphasized the importance of viewing Thailand not merely as a market, but as a partner with whom value can be co-created through collaboration with local businesses.

The discussion also highlighted the challenges arising from differences in language, culture, and business practices. At the same time, participants shared the view that collaboration with partners who share common visions and goals is a key driver of business growth. By leveraging Japan's manufacturing expertise and technological strengths while building networks with suppliers and business partners, the speakers demonstrated their commitment to creating new value and expanding business opportunities. The event underscored the strong potential for further business development and collaboration between Japan and Thailand in the years ahead.
